On Thursday morning, the popular bagel chain Einstein Bros. announced the release of caffeinated bagels - as in, bagels infused with actual espresso.
However, you would have to eat about three of these bagels to equal one cup of coffee. There's the Cherry Chia Bagel, which is boosted with 300 milligrams of omega-3 ALA and 12 grams of protein; and the Savory Parm Bagel, which is boosted with iron, B1, B2, and 12 grams of protein. Each bagel promises 32 milligrams of caffeine - which is only about a third of what you would find in the average 8 ounce cup of coffee, but is better than no caffeine.
So basically, you'll be able to wake up in the morning, skip the coffee and head straight for the bagel.

As if bagels weren't already great enough as is, Einstein Bros. has officially raised the bar by making them caffeinated. Einstein Bros.' is bringing back the two-in-one breakfast and it's combining the two food groups we love most: carbs and coffee.
"We have watched the coffee category expand and adapt as millennials converted to coffee drinkers, attracted by the smoother flavor and artisanal characteristics and third- and fourth-wave coffee". In Fox's taste test, one person described it as "chewy coffee", and another said it was "insanely bitter". Sorry, but I don't want bacon and eggs in my coffee.
It's part of Einstein Bros's new line of Boosted Bagels, which features innovative recipes.
