Reliance Jio offers 100% CashBack on JioFi by exchanging old routers

While there's a lot of buzz about Jio's high-speed broadband services, Jio's official customer support- Jio Care on Twitter confirmed the service to be called "JioFiber".

With its mobile wallet and smartphones already out in the market (besides DTH services, affordable VoLTE enabled feature phones, and an alleged 4G laptop in the making), Jio now turns to the next big step in its attempt to become the one-stop-shop for all things tech: broadband. The company has announced its myHOME offer which is valid for each postpaid connection and digital TV service you link to your Airtel broadband connection.

The plans of Reliance Jio broadband has been divided into 3 different categories depending upon the speed, volume and special offers of the internet.

Reliance Jio's Fiber Preview offer has been rolled out in select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara. "The Company continues to make progress on the roll-out of its Fibre to the Home (FTTH) business offering with beta trials initiated in a few locations". Time taken to download 100 songs consuming 1GB will be over 2 minutes, while True HD movies (5GB) will be downloaded in about 7 minutes precisely.

Earlier, in September 2016, users had shared details about how the testing had begun in some select residential colonies in the city of Chennai. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has touched the 108.9 million customer base as on March 31, 2017, of which over 72 million signed up for Jio Prime.

While announcing the launch of pan-India digital services with its "Welcome Offer" in September past year, Jio had said: "In addition to fixed and wireless broadband connectivity offering superior voice and data services on an all-IP network, Jio will also offer end-to-end solutions that address the entire value chain across various digital services in key domains such as education, healthcare, security, communication, financial services, government-citizen interfaces and entertainment".

JioFIber will offer at least 100 mbps (megabits per second) data speed. If the prices of Reliance Jio's 4G services are considered, JioFiber may give existing players a run for their money.

Even with its Fiber service, Jio is expected to offer "value for the customer" pricing.
