With EPL title a formality, challenges await for Chelsea

N'Golo Kante is set to return for Chelsea, as the Blues look to secure their fifth Premier League title when they take on West Brom tonight. "It is important to enjoy this moment and this part of the season".

Should Chelsea fail to take maximum points at The Hawthorns, subsequent home games against Watford and relegated Sunderland mean Conte's side have plenty of margin for error.

'This season we are doing this'.

"Obviously I haven't played every single game but I feel the quality of my minutes whenever I've been on the pitch has been fantastic, so maybe my contribution has been even bigger than when I've played more in other seasons".

Gary Cahill has insisted Chelsea are not getting complacent as they edge ever closer to the Premier League title.

"We have to gain more points to finish strongly, then everything moving forward will be aimed at getting back into the Premier League as soon as possible".

Chelsea capitalised on second-placed Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 defeat by West Ham United on Friday by beating Middlesbrough 3-0 on Monday to move seven points clear at the top with three games left.

King goal lifts Bournemouth into the top half
Terry won his final Premier League title with Chelsea last night as the Blues beat West Brom 1-0 to put themselves mathematically out of sight with two games to spare.

"Now the most important thing is to reach our target, because to arrive at this moment and have a great opportunity we have worked very hard".

Only an incredible collapse could prevent Conte bagging the title in his first season and adding it to his three Serie A crowns achieved in successive seasons with Juventus. "It's great for me, for my players, for the club to see this great atmosphere".

Title-winning bosses are often rewarded with new contracts and Conte may be offered an improved deal, 12 months into the three-year contract he began last summer.

It was the Baggies who derailed Tottenham's title quest at White Hart Lane a year ago when a 1-1 draw handed Spurs a blow they could not recover from with three to play.

Since winning 13 consecutive matches against West Bromwich Albion in all competitions between 1993 and 2011, Chelsea haven't won back to back games in any of their last 10 meetings. They are a strong team, a good coach and the atmosphere will be very hot. We're still chasing a points tally that will keep us in eighth position so we have a lot to play for.

"For this reason, for us, we must go game by game".
